Customer Rating: Summary: Best Christmas Album I own Comment: Point of Grace "Winter Wonderland" album is terrific! It's my favorite Christmas album year after year. It has a nice mix of slow and fun Christmas songs.
Customer Rating: Summary: Christmas Harmony Comment: A fresh burst of Christmas spirit was given this recording of Christmas songs from Point of Grace. Wonderful new arrangements and lovely harmonies make each song seem new and different, which is not always easy to do with Christmas songs. In the hands Denise, Heather, Shelly, and Terry, however, it really is the most wonderful time of the year.
It begins in fabulous fashion with that very sentiment. The arrangements run from a tinge of the Big Band sound to just an echo of light jazz. It is a Christmas Cd, of course, so the girls give the reason for the season heartfelt emotions, reminding us occasionally what Christmas is all about. But the overall sense of fun Christmas brings is never dampened, only enhanced.
The bouncy and fun Christmas songs we know and love will certainly be given the most play from this Christmas CD, but the more somber songs are blended so seamlessly that the album becomes one vision of Christmas and what it does for us. In the First Light may be one of the loveliest songs in this respect, and many will find themselves returning to it time and again. The beautiful harmonies Point of Grace creates is in full bloom here, like a red rose poking up through the snow.
I highly recommend this charming and elegant picturesque musical view of Christmas from Point of Grace.
Customer Rating: Summary: Let There Be Light! Comment: Bought the CD for this particular song...just an inspiring and uplifting piece of music. Thank you for such a gift!
Customer Rating: Summary: What A Way To Catch My Ears Comment: First things first--This is no ordinary Christmas collage. Not just "Breath Of Heaven (Mary's Song)" but, yet another Amy Grant classic, the Chris Eaton penned, "Little Town" are what paces this set well out of the usual and into the realm of extraordinary!!! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!
As for Breath Of Heaven, following in the footsteps of Donna Summer and Vince Gill, Point Of Grace's rendition of Amy's now standard anthem is what totally makes the album a class work of art.
Then, even though this album was a great piece, it gets even better. Although quite rare, "Little Town" is certainly given sparkle and verve that only Point Of Grace have purely mastered. Absolutely the gem in this set!!
With the fun, spunky and yet poignant character that this set offers, every Christmas mood is showcased and all with the beautiful harmonies and orchestration that can only be described as graceful.
Highlights include "For Unto Us", "It'sThe Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" and "Let There Be Light"
Customer Rating: Summary: Not as good as 'A Christmas Story' Comment: These ladies have beautiful voices, but I am disappointed by this album. The song selections are trite and the album isn't much of a value at less than 45 minutes long. I prefer the song selection and arrangements of their 1999 Christmas release- it's a unique addition to my Christmas music collection that gets played frequently during the season.

Winter Wonderland is a breathtaking assortment of ten classic Christmas songs that we have come to know and love. Long-time collaborator Brown Bannister (Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith) returns as producer, showcasing Point of Grace's vocally intricate harmonies and beautiful string arrangements on select tracks. This holiday collection contains something for everyone from traditional sing-alongs like "Jingle Bells" to a more contemporary version of "Little Town".
